New Chiefs Installed as Asubiaro Ilugun Marks Milestone Celebration.


The 1st Asubiaro Ilugun Day 2025 celebration was a grand affair, marking a milestone in the community's history.

 The event kicked off with traditional rites, culminating in the coronation of 16 new chiefs, who were honored for their outstanding contributions to Asubiaro Ilugun Township.

The newly installed chiefs are Chief Sodeinde, the Abore of Asubiaro Town, Chief Salami Afeez, Sarumi of Asubiaro Town, and Chief Mrs. Bakare Waliat Adekemi, Lika of Asubiaro Town.

Others are Chief Keshinro Ishaq as the Lukosi of AsubiaroTown, Chief Durowoju Jamiu as the Balogun of AsubiaroTown; Chief Ambali Azeez as the Otun Balogun of AsubiaroTown); Chief Akeem Jimoh (Osi Balogun of Asubiaro Town); Chief Olarenwaju Fadipe ( Ekerin Balogun of AsubiaroTown); 

Chief Yakub Alao becomes the Seriki of AsubiaroTown,  Chief Adewale Idowu as the  Mayegun of AsubiaroTown, Chief Akindele Jamiu as the Baaroyin of Asubiaro Town); Chief Mrs Bakare Waliat Adekemi (Likaof Asubiaro Town); Chief Soboyede Mariam (Iyalode of Asubiaro Town); Chief Mrs Malaolu Rashidat (Otun Iyalode of Asubiaro Town) and Chief Mrs Ogunseye Iyabode (Iyalaje of Asubiaro Town).


They received certificates of appointment and pledged to drive growth and development in their community.

In their separate remarks, the Osile Oke-Ona Egba, Oba Adewale Tejuoso and Baale Asubiaro Ilugun Township, High Chief Lamidi Ibrahim Olatunji praised the community's efforts, and  charged the new chiefs to work towards the progress of Asubiaro Ilugun.


The event featured traditional music by Alhaji Taye Akande Adebisi, and was attended by chiefs from other communities. 

The Baaroyin Asubiaro Ilugun, Chief Jamiu Akindele, described the event as a celebration of the community's values and traditions.

MAPOLY Rector Urges Alumni, Stakeholders to Support Institutional Growth

  The Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, Dr Babatunde Jolaoso has urged members of the polytechnic community to contribute towards the development of the institution.  Dr Jolaoso made the call when he received the 25/26 Alumni Executive Council of National Association of Science Technology Students, NASTES, at his office in Ojere, Abeokuta.
