Ogun TAMPAN Praises Crescent University for 20th Anniversary Stage Play.

  Oduntan oluwaseun kazeem S224303036 The Ogun State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), led by Comrade Owolabi Yekuola Ajasa JP, has praised Crescent University, Abeokuta, for sponsoring a special stage play titled “ASIRI ILU EGBA” to celebrate its 20th anniversary. In a statement, the Association thanked the university’s Proprietor and Chairman Board of Trustees, Prince Ma’ruf Adesegun Ajibola SAN; the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Gbajabiamila; and the Registrar, Barr. Zakariyya Ajibola for supporting the project both morally and financially. They also commended the Head of Mass Communication Department, Dr. Kola Adesina, who came up with the idea and chaired the 20th Anniversary Committee. The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Ogun State Chapter, has commended the management of Crescent University, Abeokuta, for sponsoring a spectacular stage drama, “ASIRI ILU EGBA,” as part of the institution's 20th anniversary celebrations. Speaking after the performance, the Governor of TAMPAN Ogun State Chapter, Comrade Owolabi Ajasa, described the collaboration as a landmark in the relationship between the academic and creative sectors.  Comrade Ajasa said that the  association was committed to sustaining partnerships that would promote education, culture, and artistic innovation across the state and Nigeria. Abeokuta Hosts Inaugural West Africa Para Games with 11 sporting Events

  About 700 para-athletes from 16 countries have arrived in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital to contest for honours in 11 sporting events at the first West Africa Para Games. The Chairman, Local Organising Committee, Mr Victor Achakpo, stated this while speaking with Sports Journalists in Abeokuta. Mr Achakpo who announced that the host nation would parade 190 athletes noted that arrangements had been concluded towards the success of the event. The LOC chairman assured the athletes of their safety through out the games adding two invited countries would be participating in the games, assuring participants of a free and fair games. The Secretary-General, Africa Paralympic Committee , Mr Ignatius Elletey, commended the Federal Government and the Nigeria Paralympic Committee for hosting the maiden edition of the West Africa Para Games. 50% Discount on Planning Permit Fees in Ogun State

The Ogun State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing people-friendly policies and programmes aimed at attracting investors and strengthening socio-economic development in the State.  Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Olatunji Odunlami , stated this in Abeokuta while briefing Journalists on the Government’s 50 percent amnesty on planning permit penal fees and the ongoing clearance of setbacks along roads and highways across the State. Mr. Odunlami explained that the 50 percent reduction in planning permit charges symbolized the present administration’s determination to promote orderly physical development , safeguard public safety, and reduce the financial burden on citizens. He urged property owners to take advantage of the three-month amnesty window, ongoing till January 2026 , to regularize their building permits at a reduced cost.
