NDLEA Calls for Public Support in Fight Against Drug Abuse, Trafficking

  The Area Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Idiroko Special Area Command, Mr. Ekundayo Williams, has reaffirmed the strong collaboration between the NDLEA, the Nigeria Customs Service, and other security agencies in the fight against drug trafficking and cross-border crimes. Speaking with DIGESTABLE Correspondent on the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Mr. Williams said the celebration highlights the importance of inter-agency cooperation in protecting Nigeria’s borders from criminal activities. He noted that the NDLEA and its partners are working tirelessly to ensure that the nation’s borders are not used for the trafficking of illicit drugs and other trans-border crimes. Ex-Security Guard, Two Others Nabbed for Alleged Murder of Former Broadcaster in Ogun

  Aina Obasanjo  Operatives of Ogun State Police Command have arrested three suspects linked to the death of the former staff of Ogun State Television, OGTV,  Madam Kitan Oyesiku and her Security guard, Pelumi Adetayo over the weekend at her residence. The Commissioner of Police, Mr Bode Ojajuni made this known while speaking with Journalists at the Eleweran  Headquarters of the Command, Abeokuta. Mr Ojajuni said the 22 year old principal suspect who was the former security guard of the deceased identified as Shodehinde Olajuwon Phillip admitted recruiting the two accomplices to carry out the henious act. The Ogun State Commissioner of Police said the principal suspect had claimed that the motive of his action was to teach deceased a lesson over grievances relating to his former employment. RCCG Ogun Province 6 Redeemed Men's Fellowship Convention Holds This Weekend in Abeokuta

Aina Obasanjo  The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ogun Province 6, has announced its 2026 Redeemed Men's Fellowship Convention scheduled to hold from Friday, June 26, to Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the RCCG Abundant Joy Mega Parish, Asero Estate, Abeokuta. The convention, themed "A Man After God's Own Heart", is inspired by Acts Chapter 13, Verse 22. Activities begin on Friday with Indoor Sports Activities from 12 noon to 4 p.m., followed by the Evening Programme at 5 p.m. The Main Convention Programme comes up on Saturday, June 27, starting at 7 a.m. at the Provincial Headquarters, RCCG Abundant Joy Mega Parish, Asero Estate, Abeokuta. Ogun Customs Generates ₦259.8m Revenue, Seizes Contraband Worth ₦4.63bn in Three Months

  The Ogun I Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the collection of ₦259.78 million in revenue and the seizure of contraband goods with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of ₦4.63 billion between April 1 and June 23, 2026. The Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Oladapo Afeni, disclosed this on Wednesday during a press briefing held at the Command headquarters in Idiroko, Ogun State. Mr Afeni said the revenue was generated from baggage assessments, auction sales of perishable goods, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) seizures, and other charges. According to him, the figure represents a 238 per cent increase compared to the ₦76.81 million collected during the same period in 2025. "The increase in revenue collection was made possible through the resilience of our officers and strict enforcement of import and export regulations in line with extant laws," he stated.
