PASTOR KEHINDE URGES CHRISTIANS TO SHINE THEIR LIGHT, IMPACT SOCIETY

Christians have been urged to demonstrate the light of Christ through their conduct and positive contributions to society particularly at a time when darkness appears to be prevailing in the world.

The Pastor in Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Throne of Grace Parish, Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, Pastor Francis Kehinde gave the charge while delivering a sermon entitled “It Is Time to Shine.”

Taking his Bible text from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter five verses 14 to 16, Pastor Kehinde reminded Christians that they are the light of the world and must therefore allow their light to shine before others through good works.

He emphasized that Christians should not keep the light of God within themselves but use it to positively influence the lives of people around them.

The cleric noted that the prevailing darkness in the world calls for Christians to demonstrate their faith through love, kindness, integrity, compassion and other godly virtues that can bring hope to society.

Pastor Kehinde stressed that believers have a responsibility to make a meaningful difference in their communities by serving as good examples and contributing to the well-being of others.

He  encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and reflect the character of Christ in their daily interactions, noting that their actions should lead others to glorify God.

The religious leader called on believers to rise to their spiritual responsibilities and recognise the present time as an opportunity to shine forth as agents of positive change in the society.
