ESPSG Endorses Senator Adeola for Ogun 2027 Governorship Race

Aina Obasanjo  The Elega/Saje Progressive Support Group (ESPSG) has endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election. The coordinator of the group, Prince Adekunle Idowu in a statement in Abeokuta said the endorsement followed consultations among members across Abeokuta North and Abeokuta South. Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, said the decision followed a meeting with the Director General aimed at boosting the morale of Nigerian athletes. Under the revised incentive package, gold medal winners will now receive a total of 10,000 dollars, comprising an instant cash reward of 5,000 dollars and another 5,000 dollars paid directly into their accounts. The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Bolu Owotomo, disclosed this during a community engagement meeting between the investors, Pure Dairy Herd, and residents of Itoro in Yewa South Local Government Area. He said the project, located in Itoro, will begin with about ten thousand dairy cows and is expected to significantly increase domestic milk production, create employment opportunities, stimulate economic activities and strengthen Nigeria’s livestock and dairy value chain.   Aina Obasanjo  Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Sunday paid glowing tribute to his wife, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, as she marked her 60th birthday, describing her as a woman of virtue, compassion, unwavering faith and an indispensable partner whose steadfast support has been central to his life’s journey and public service. Speaking during a special thanksgiving service held in honour of the First Lady at the Government House Chapel, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun thanked God for preserving their family and sustaining them through nearly four decades together.  He also commended his wife for keeping the home front together while he continues to serve the people of Ogun State.
