Support Grows for Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello During Abeokuta North Visit

The Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Ogun Central Senatorial district, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello has continued her grassroots engagement with a visit to Abeokuta North Local Government Area, where she was received by party members and residents.

A member of the delegation, Arc.Dele Olaleye, PDP, Candidate for the House of Representatives, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency, said the large turnout reflected the growing acceptance of the IYANIWURA movement, which he described as committed to improving the well-being of the people through impactful and people-oriented initiatives.





He noted that the reception underscored the confidence many residents have in the movement's vision and its commitment to purposeful leadership.



Arc. Olaleye also expressed confidence that the level of support demonstrated during the visit would strengthen the movement's prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
