2027: Aje Traders Declare Total Support for Tinubu's Re-election, Back YAYI for Ogun Governor

The Leader of the Aje Traders for YAYI Support Group, Mrs. Onibude Folake, has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment and readiness of members of the group to mobilize massive support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for a second term in office during the 2027 general elections.


Speaking during a meeting of the group in Abeokuta, Mrs. Folake stated that the achievements of the Tinubu-led administration in laying the foundation for economic recovery, infrastructure development, and institutional reforms have strengthened the confidence of traders and other stakeholders in the Renewed Hope Agenda.





She noted that members of the Aje Traders for YAYI Support Group are fully prepared to embark on grassroots mobilization across markets and communities to ensure the overwhelming re-election of President Tinubu, whose leadership, according to her, remains crucial to the continued growth and development of Nigeria.


Mrs. Folake also declared the group's total support for the aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) to emerge as the next Governor of Ogun State in the 2027 governorship election. 

She described Senator Adeola as a visionary, experienced, and people-oriented leader whose remarkable record of service and commitment to the welfare of the people have earned him widespread acceptance across Ogun State.

According to her, the traders' group believes that Senator Adeola possesses the capacity, competence, and leadership qualities required to take Ogun State to greater heights through inclusive governance, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.


"We are united and resolute in our determination to work tirelessly for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second-term bid and to ensure that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, emerges victorious as the Governor of Ogun State in 2027. Our members across markets and communities are ready to mobilize support and deliver results," she said.


Mrs. Folake called on traders, artisans, market women, youths, and all well-meaning citizens of Ogun State to rally behind the Renewed Hope Agenda and the YAYI governorship project, stressing that the 2027 elections present another opportunity to consolidate progress and deepen good governance.

She assured that the Aje Traders for YAYI Support Group would continue to engage stakeholders, expand its grassroots network, and promote peaceful, issue-based participation throughout the electioneering process.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
