Overspeeding Drivers Caught in Ogun as FRSC Deploys Radar Guns





Ahead of the festive season, the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has commenced a special intervention patrol with the use of Laser radar guns, to apprehend drivers for over speeding offence, in some major roads in the State.

The Sector Commander of FRSC,  Commander  Akinwunmi Fasakin, accompanied by the Sector's Head of Operations, led the special intervention Patrol along Sagamu-Abeokuta road.

Mr Fasakin in a statement in Abeokuta explained that sixteen offenders were booked for over speeding violation, while speed limiting devices were fixed in the offenders vehicle. 

The FRSC Sector Commander who admonished the offenders on the danger of over speeding and overloading and the need to stay safe while driving, assured the people of Ogun State of a safe motoring environment before, during and after the Yuletide.



According to him, the special intervention patrol is in a bid to achieve the 2025 Corporate Strategic Goal One, which aims to achieve ten per cent reduction in road traffic fatality and injury through focused Interventions.
