Evangelist Ifede Sets High Goals for SUBEB in 2026

The Chairman, Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, has urged staff of the board to embrace love and unity as they begin the journey of the year 2026.

Evangelist Ifede gave the charge during the annual interfaith prayer session organised by the board to mark the beginning of the new year at the Board Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He encouraged members of staff to always call one another to order whenever issues arise that might affect individuals or the collective progress of the board.

The SUBEB Chairman attributed the achievements recorded by the board in 2025 to the cooperation, dedication and commitment of the Permanent Members, management and staff, urging them to intensify their efforts in 2026 to position the board among the best in the country.

“What we have achieved in 2025 must be child’s play. In 2026, we are going to move SUBEB to a greater height,” he said.

Evangelist Ifede also congratulated the newly appointed Headteachers-General in the four zones of the State, appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun, noting that they would be the first set of Headteachers to enjoy a consolidated salary structure under the State government.

Earlier, the Board Secretary, Mr. Olubori Akinleye, had appreciated the Board Members led by the Chairman, Evangelist Ifede and appealed to staff to rededicate their lives to God, remain committed to their duties and uphold punctuality in the discharge of their responsibilities.
