Hon Afuape Congratulates Chief Yemi Sanusi, APC Executives on State Congress Victory

 




​The member representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Moruf Afolabi Afuape, has congratulated Chief Yemi Sanusi following his successful re-election as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.


​In a statement , Hon. Afuape described Sanusi’s return to leadership as a testament to his dedication and adherence to the party’s core ideals. 

He noted that the Chairman’s track record of service would be instrumental in strengthening the party’s internal structures.


​The lawmaker also congratulated the broader State Executive Committee, praising both re-elected and newly inaugurated members for their overwhelming endorsement during the state congress.

Hon. Afuape urged the leadership to remain focused ahead to the next political cycle


 "As you embark on this new journey to lead our party to victory in the 2027 general elections, I pray for the wisdom and strength needed to steer our affairs toward success," he stated.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
