Eleven persons lost their lives in a fatal lone crash at Eruku Bridge along the Abeokuta-Lagos route in Ogun State.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that the accident involved a gold Toyota vehicle with registration number GGE 722 KJ, which reportedly somersaulted and plunged off the bridge.

According to the Ogun State Command Public Relations Officer, Mr Odunsi Afolabi, all 11 occupants of the vehicle comprising 10 adult males and one adult female  died after they were trapped inside the vehicle when the doors locked on impact.
