Hon. AFUAPE CELEBRATES GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN AT 66

Member representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Moruf Afuape, has joined millions of admirers, political associates, and the people of Ogun State in celebrating the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun on the occasion of his 66 birthday.

Hon. Afuape in a statement in Abeokuta described Governor Abiodun as an exceptional statesman, visionary leader, and refined administrator whose leadership has brought monumental growth and transformation to Ogun State.

According to Hon. Afuape, the administration of Governor Abiodun has recorded remarkable achievements in infrastructure, economic expansion, institutional reforms, and people-oriented governance.


The federal lawmaker noted that at sixty-six, Governor Abiodun continues to exemplify wisdom, courage, humility, and strategic leadership, while inspiring a new generation of leaders across the country.


Hon. Afuape prayed for God’s continued guidance, sound health, and strength for the governor, wishing him many more years of impactful service to Ogun State and Nigeria.


He added that history would remember the Abiodun administration for progress, stability, prosperity, and transformational governance.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
