NSC applauds Team Nigeria’s performance at Africa Aquatics Championships

The National Sports Commission, NSC, has commended the Nigeria Aquatics Federation and Team Nigeria athletes for their impressive outing at the 17th Africa Aquatics Championships held in Oran, Algeria.

Team Nigeria finished the competition with three bronze medals and several outstanding performances during the championship which lasted from May fifth to tenth, twenty twenty-six.

NSC Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, praised the athletes, coaches, and officials for making the country proud on the continental stage.

Hon. Olopade described the performance as a clear sign that Nigerian sports is making progress across different disciplines.

He also applauded the Nigeria Aquatics Federation and all stakeholders for their commitment and contribution to the success recorded at the championships.

The NSC further noted that beyond the medals won, Nigeria’s recognition as one of the fastest developing nations in African aquatics highlights the country’s growing strength in the sport.
