Governor Dapo Abiodun has commended members of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State for the peaceful conduct of the party’s House of Assembly primaries held across the twenty-six state constituencies.

The exercise, conducted through direct primaries, recorded large turnout of party members and was described as orderly, transparent and violence-free.

Speaking after voting at Ward Three in Iperu, Ikenne Local Government Area, Governor Abiodun said the peaceful atmosphere reflected the unity, discipline and political maturity of the APC in Ogun State.

The governor urged winners of the primaries to remain magnanimous in victory and provide quality representation for the people if elected in the 2027 general election.

In Ikenne Local Government, Mr Seyi Olumuyiwa emerged victorious after polling eight hundred and twenty-five votes out of the eight hundred and thirty accredited voters.

Meanwhile, in Odeda Local Government Area, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Mr Daisi Elemide, secured victory in the APC primary election for the Odeda State Constituency.

Party members and stakeholders across the wards praised the peaceful conduct of the exercise, describing it as a positive sign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
