The management of Crescent University, Abeokuta, has warned parents and prospective students to beware of fraudsters posing as admission officers of the institution.

In a statement by Principal Assistant Registrar, Public Relations, Idris Katib, the university said it has received reports of individuals defrauding unsuspecting admission seekers.

The institution specifically identified one Dr. Mrs. Faith, using the phone number 08169598464, as allegedly impersonating a member of the university's admission staff to scam prospective applicants.

The university advised the public not to pay admission-related fees into any personal or private bank account.

It stressed that all payments should be made only into official bank accounts bearing the name of Crescent University, Abeokuta, as published on the university's official website and other publicity materials.

For admission enquiries and registration, the university urged prospective candidates and parents to contact the official admission line on 08038362771 or visit the university's official website and verified social media platforms.
