Crescent University wins Spirit of the Competition Award at the 2026 IBA–ICC Moot Competition in The Hague.

Crescent University, Abeokuta, has recorded another international achievement, winning the Spirit of the Competition Award at the 2026 International Bar Association–International Criminal Court Moot Competition held in The Hague, Netherlands.

The Crescent University team, made up of Bola Ajibola College of Law students Justus Adeyemi, Fareedah Akinsola, Karamat Lawal, Hadiqah Orisadare and Muhammadgazaal Abudu, was led by Dr. Mujeeb Imran.



The award recognises a team that demonstrates outstanding commitment and exemplifies the core values of the competition.

While announcing the award, representatives of the International Bar Association said the Crescent University team showcased the true spirit of the moot competition by bringing together passionate students from different parts of the world through a shared commitment to international law.

The organisers noted that the team's performance reflected the future of international legal cooperation in an increasingly uncertain global environment.

The latest achievement comes on the heels of another impressive outing by students of the Bola Ajibola College of Law, who also recorded a top performance at the 2025 edition of the competition.

Reacting to the news, the Proprietor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Crescent University, Prince Ma'ruf Adesegun Ajibola, congratulated the students and their coach for making the institution proud.

He stated that the university's continuous investment in quality human and material resources has consistently produced excellent results both nationally and internationally.

Prof. Kareem to Deliver Crescent University's First Inaugural Lecture
