Democracy Day: Ogun SUBEB Chairman Calls for Renewed Commitment to Basic Education

The Executive Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board, Evangelist Joshua Olalekan Ifede, has called on stakeholders in the education sector to renew their commitment to the development of quality basic education across the state.

In his Democracy Day message, Evangelist Ifede congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, members of the State Executive Council, political leaders and residents of the state on the occasion of Nigeria's Democracy Day celebration.

He also extended his greetings to the management and staff of Ogun SUBEB, teachers, pupils, parents, School-Based Management Committees, education administrators, development partners and other stakeholders in the education sector.

The SUBEB Chairman noted that democracy can only thrive when citizens are enlightened, responsible and equipped with the knowledge and values required to contribute meaningfully to society. 


He described basic education as the foundation for achieving these ideals.

Evangelist Ifede commended teachers for their dedication and invaluable contributions to nation-building, while appreciating parents, community leaders and development partners for their continued support towards strengthening schools across the state.

He emphasized the need for collaboration, accountability, innovation and commitment among stakeholders to ensure a conducive learning environment for every child.

The Ogun SUBEB Chairman urged all stakeholders to remain united in nurturing future leaders and promoting excellence in education, adding that collective efforts would help build a brighter future for Ogun State and Nigeria.

He wished all citizens a happy Democracy Day celebration.
