Ogun Police Command Decorates 430 Newly Promoted Officers

The Ogun State Police Command has decorated 430 junior officers recently promoted across various formations in the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Bode Ojajuni, while presiding over the decoration ceremony, said the promotion exercise reflects the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, to the welfare, motivation, and career advancement of police personnel.

The newly promoted officers include six Sergeants elevated to the rank of Inspector, four Corporals promoted to Sergeant, and four hundred and twenty Constables advanced to the rank of Corporal.

Speaking during the event, Mr Ojajuni congratulated the officers and described their promotion as a reward for diligence, professionalism, and dedication to duty. 


He urged them to see their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility, discipline, integrity, and commitment to service.

The Police Commissioner also charged the officers to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force, respect human rights, and remain committed to the rule of law in the discharge of their duties.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to personnel welfare and support for initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and service delivery across Ogun State.
