Prof. Kareem to Deliver Crescent University's First Inaugural Lecture

The Inaugural Lecture of the Crescent University, Abeokuta will take place on  Wednesday 17th June, 2026 at the Bola Ajibola Auditorium by 2pm.

A statement by the school indicates that the inaugural event, Series 01, will feature distinguished scholar Professor Rasaki Olufemi Kareem, Professor of Resource and Development Economics.

Professor Kareem will present a thought-provoking lecture titled, "Resource Efficiency vs. Economic Development: Whither Nigeria?

It adds that the lecture aims to explore the critical balance between optimizing national resources and achieving sustainable economic growth within the Nigerian context.

The event will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, Vice-Chancellor of Crescent University, Abeokuta.

The lecture according to the statement is a testament to the University’s commitment as a "Citadel of Academic & Moral Excellence," upholding its motto of "Knowledge and Faith."
