DELE OLALEYE CELEBRATES AREMO OLUSEGUN OSOBA AT 87

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Candidate for the House of Representatives, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency, Arc. Oladele AbdulQuadri Olaleye, has extended warm birthday felicitations to elder statesman, former Governor of Ogun State and renowned journalist, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, on the occasion of his 87th birthday.


Arc. OLALEYE described Aremo Osoba as one of Nigeria's finest democrats whose lifelong commitment to journalism, good governance and nation building has earned him enduring respect across political divides.


He noted that the former Governor's exemplary leadership, wealth of experience and invaluable contributions to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria remain worthy of admiration and emulation.


Olaleye prayed that Almighty God grants the elder statesman continued good health, strength, peace of mind and many more years of impactful service to humanity.


He wished Aremo Olusegun Osoba a joyful 87th birthday and many more years of fulfilment.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.

  The Crescent Literary Village of Crescent University, Abeokuta, has celebrated the enduring legacies of the institution's late founder, Prince Bola Ajibola, for his remarkable contributions to education, law, arbitration, literature and humanity.
