NSC DG Appoints Bayo Adegboyega as New Media Consultant

The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Honourable Bukola Olopade, has appointed renowned sports journalist and media strategist, Bayo Adegboyega, as Consultant on New Media.

The appointment is aimed at strengthening the Commission's communication strategy, improving public engagement, and promoting the programmes and achievements of the National Sports Commission across various media platforms.

Bayo Adegboyega brings over fourteen years of experience in sports journalism, broadcasting, public relations, content development, and strategic communications. He began his career in sports journalism in 2012 while studying at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and has since contributed significantly to the growth and promotion of sports development initiatives in Nigeria.

Announcing the appointment, the Director General, Honourable Bukola Olopade, expressed confidence in Adegboyega's ability to support the Commission's vision of repositioning Nigerian sports through effective communication and strategic media engagement.

He noted that the appointment reflects the Commission's commitment to engaging experienced professionals to project its programmes and showcase the achievements of Nigerian athletes to both local and international audiences.

Responding, Bayo Adegboyega thanked the Director General for the opportunity to serve. 


He described the appointment as an honour and pledged to deploy his wealth of experience to strengthen public engagement and ensure greater visibility for Nigerian sports and its athletes.
