Ogun First Lady Empowers Schoolgirls with Menstrual Hygiene Kits
The outreach formed part of the annual week-long medical mission, which also provides free surgical interventions and healthcare services across the state.
Students also participated in an educational session focused on self-esteem, career development, menstrual health, and personal hygiene.
Speaking during the event, Ogun State First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, said the initiative reflected the vision of Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which promotes the health, education, and empowerment of young girls.
Mrs Abiodun encouraged the students to remain confident and pursue their dreams.
Team Lead of the Medical Mission and Founder of KCare Beyond Borders Incorporated, Dr. Bimpe Adenusi, commended the First Lady for her continued support and urged the girls to stay committed to their education and aspire to become responsible leaders.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Miss Adebimpe Adefala thanked the First Lady and the medical team, promising that the beneficiaries would promote good menstrual hygiene practices among their peers and communities.
