Oyegbola-Sodipo Hails Osoba's Legacy as Former Ogun Governor Clocks 87

The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Dr. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, has felicitated the elder statesman, renowned journalist, and former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, on the joyous occasion of his 87th birthday.

Dr Oyegbola-Sodipo in a congratulatory message in Abeokuta said Chief Osoba remains an enduring symbol of exemplary leadership, courage, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ogun State and Nigeria.

He noted that Chief Osoba's  remarkable contributions to journalism, democratic governance, and nation-building have left an indelible mark on the country's history and continue to inspire generations of leaders.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.

  The Crescent Literary Village of Crescent University, Abeokuta, has celebrated the enduring legacies of the institution's late founder, Prince Bola Ajibola, for his remarkable contributions to education, law, arbitration, literature and humanity.
