Registration Opens for 2026 Koye Football Competition Reloaded

Grassroots football is set to take centre stage once again as ABD Concepts has announced the return of the Koye Football Competition Reloaded, one of Abeokuta's anticipated community football tournaments.



Scheduled to run from July 31 to August 28, 2026, the month-long competition will be hosted at the Astro Turf Pitch, Ita-Eko, Abeokuta, where over 24 teams are expected to battle for championship honours and attractive cash rewards.


The Convener of the KOYE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT, Hon Lawal Oluwafemi told Journalists in Abeokuta that the 2026 edition will feature a substantial prize pool, with cash prizes to be awarded to the tournament winner, runner-up, Best Goalkeeper and Highest Goal Scorer.


He announced that team registration is now open at a fee of ₦150,000, and interested clubs are encouraged to complete their registration early as available slots are limited.


Hon Lawal said the competition is aimed at promoting grassroots football, discover emerging talents and provide a competitive platform for clubs across the region.

With excitement already building, football enthusiasts can expect four weeks of entertaining matches as teams compete for silverware, prize money and local bragging rights in the 2026 edition of the Koye Football Competition Reloaded.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
