Allen-Taylor Wilfred Assumes Office as Ogun NFSC Chairman, Vows Greater Impact

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club, NFSC, has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots sports development with a charge to its newly inaugurated Ogun State executive to promote unity, expand membership and support emerging sporting talents across the state.


National Chairman of the Club, the Reverend Samuel Ipaya stated this in Abeokuta during the inauguration of Ogun State Chapter of Nigeria Football supporters club.


The Reverend Ipaya encouraged the newly inaugurated executive to strengthen the club through unity and sustained support for grassroots sports development.


He expressed confidence in the ability of the State Chairman and his team to reposition the chapter for greater impact.





Reverend Ipaya described the chairman, Hon. Allen-Taylor Wilfred as a committed member who had consistently demonstrated dedication during national assignments and expressed optimism that the new executive would increase membership, attract more patrons and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the club nationwide.


Also speaking, the President All Stars football club, Alhaji Waheed Lawal described the new State Chairman as a passionate sports enthusiast with a track record of dedication to the activities of the Supporters Club, while urging members to work together in advancing the vision of the new administration.


Alhaji Lawal who is the Patron of the Club appealed to members of the Ogun State chapter to give maximum support and cooperation to the new executive, noting that effective leadership can only succeed through collective commitment and teamwork.


In a contribution, a sports enthusiast and Chairman of Chairmen, All Progressives Congress, APC, Nigeria, Hon. Tunji Fagbenro advised the executive to prioritise credibility, transparency and accountability in its operations to attract sponsorship and strengthen the association ahead of major football competitions.


Hon. Fagbenro maintained that corporate organisations and individuals would be more willing to partner with associations and clubs that demonstrate integrity and prudent management of resources.


In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of NFSC, Hon. Allen-Taylor Wilfred promised to work closely with members to expand the club's membership, encourage the country's footballers, and position the Ogun State Chapter as the most vibrant, organized, and local chapter of the Nigeria Football Supporters' Club nationwide.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
