Arc Olaleye Kicks Off 2027 Campaign, Promises Effective Representation

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for the House of Representatives, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency, Architect Oladele Olaleye has formally commenced his campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the campaign flag-off ceremony held at NTA Junction, Sokori, Abeokuta, Architect Olaleye called on the people of the constituency to support the PDP and vote for all its candidates in the 2027 elections.

He urged the electorate to replicate the political development in Osun State, where he said that the people demonstrated their support for the governor Ademola Adeleke through the ballot.


The PDP candidate promised to provide effective representation and champion initiatives that would promote development and improve the welfare of the constituents.

Architect Olaleye appealed to party supporters to remain united, peaceful and committed to the success of the PDP at the polls.

He said the 2027 elections provide an opportunity for the people of Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency to make a decisive choice by voting for the PDP candidates at all levels.

In a remark, the Ogun Central senatorial candidate, Professor Iyabo Obasanjo promised to sustain her various interventions particularly iyaniwura foundation towards improving the well-being of the people in the constituency.

Earlier, the State PDP Chairman, Dr Abayomi Tella had appealed to the party supporters to vote for the PDP candidates in the forthcoming election and ensure that their votes count by protecting their ballot.

The campaign attracted party leaders, and thousands of supporters  from the three local government areas that make up the federal constituency including the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Chief Ladi Adebutu and his running mate.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
