Birthday: Hon. Afuape Extols Senator Adeola’s Commitment to Public Service

The Member representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Afolabi Moruf Afuape, has felicitated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his birthday.

In a congratulatory message, Hon. Afuape described Senator Adeola as a distinguished legislator whose years of public service have been marked by vision, resilience, strategic leadership and commitment to the development of the people.

The lawmaker prayed for divine wisdom, sound health, grace and fulfilment for Senator Adeola as he begins another year of his life.

Hon. Afuape also expressed optimism that Senator Adeola's leadership would continue to inspire confidence, promote development and make a positive impact on the lives of the people.

He wished the Senator many more fruitful years and greater accomplishments in his service to humanity.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.

  The Crescent Literary Village of Crescent University, Abeokuta, has celebrated the enduring legacies of the institution's late founder, Prince Bola Ajibola, for his remarkable contributions to education, law, arbitration, literature and humanity. The tribute came during Literary Day 2026 with the theme, "Celebrating the Enduring Literary Legacies of Prince Bola Ajibola."
