Late Apostle Rufus Adeleye Laid to Rest in Abeokuta

  



The remains of the General Overseer of Eternal Word of God Church, Opeoluwa Ita Oshin, Abeokuta, Apostle Rufus Adeleye have been laid to rest at his residence.

The interment followed a funeral service held at the Eternal Word of God Church, Igbehin Adun Community, Mosafuneto last Bus Stop, Mango Oke Ata, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The service attracted religious leaders from across states of the federation.








In a sermon entitled " Always Remember there is death" a minister from God Is Able Covenant Mission, Ita Oshin, Abeokuta, Apostle Peter Adeniji urged the congregation to always live with the consciousness of death.

Apostle Adeniji emphasized the need for Christians, particularly religious leaders, to contribute meaningfully to the growth of society and the advancement of God's kingdom while alive.

He described the late Apostle Rufus Adeleye as a devoted and God-fearing man who committed his resources to the service of God and humanity.

The cleric urged the congregation to emulate the virtues of the deceased by dedicating their lives and resources to the service of God and the welfare of others.

Apostle Rufus Adeleye was born into the royal family of God Royal Highness, Oba Adesunloye II on February 17th, 1953 in Itaji -Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Late Apostle Rufus Adeleye who died on the 27th July, 2026 is survived by wife, Children and grand children

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
