SUBEB Chairman Pledges Support for Remo Public Servants

The Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare and career development of Remo indigenes in the public service.

Evangelist Ifede gave the assurance while receiving the executive members of the Association of Remo Indigenes in Public Service of Ogun State at his office in Abeokuta.

He emphasised that unity remains a critical ingredient for development and urged members to work together in advancing the interests of Remoland. 



Evangelist Ifede also advised them to distinguish themselves through dedication, integrity and exemplary service.


The SUBEB Chairman lauded the outgoing executive for ensuring a smooth leadership transition and encouraged members to give maximum support to the incoming administration.

Earlier, the President-elect of the association, Mrs. Olamide Sokoya, said the visit was to formally present the newly elected executive to the SUBEB Chairman.

In his remarks, the outgoing President, Mr. Abdul Olayinka, commended Evangelist Ifede for his impactful leadership and dedication to public service, saying the association would continue to promote unity and cooperation among Remo indigenes.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
