THREE OGUN NSCDC OFFICERS RECEIVE COMMANDANT'S COMMENDATION FOR SPORTING EXCELLENCE

Three officers of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have received commendation for their outstanding performances at international sporting competitions.

The State Commandant, Mrs Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo, commended the officers during a briefing at the Command Headquarters, Owu-Dekudu, Abeokuta.

They include Ozazuwa Agnes, who served on Nigeria's national athletics coaching team at the World Under-20 Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States, and  Akinpelu Saheed, who was part of the national coaching team at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.




The third officer, CA I Idowu Olusegun Obasanjo, represented Nigeria in badminton at the World Badminton Federation International Open Series in Ghana, where he won a silver medal in the doubles category.

Mrs Ekundayo said the achievements of the officers had brought honour to the Corps and Nigeria, describing them as evidence of the talents and capabilities within the NSCDC.

She urged personnel to pursue excellence in their various areas of interest while maintaining commitment to their statutory responsibilities.

The Commandant also assured personnel of the Command's support and encouragement for those who distinguish themselves through discipline, professionalism and positive contributions to national development.
