Bello to Lead Grassroots Mobilisation as APC Ogun East Campaign Council Deputy Director

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has appointed the General Manager of the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency, OGEPA, Hon. Kehinde Bello, as Deputy Director of its Ogun East Zonal Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

Bello’s appointment is part of a 74-member campaign council saddled with the responsibility of coordinating campaign activities and mobilising support for APC candidates across Ogun East Senatorial District.

According to the campaign council, the appointment recognises Bello’s contributions to grassroots mobilisation, political participation and community engagement in the district.

In his reaction, Hon. Bello expressed appreciation to the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him, describing the appointment as a call to greater responsibility and service.

He pledged to work with other members of the council to build a strong grassroots campaign structure across Ogun East.

Bello also urged the people of the district to participate actively in the campaign activities and support the APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

He expressed optimism that effective grassroots mobilisation and collective support would enable the party to secure victory across Ogun East Senatorial District.

Ogun Opens Registration for 2027 Hajj Exercise

Aina Obasanjo  The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise, calling on intending pilgrims to begin preparations for the pilgrimage. Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the announcement while speaking with journalists at the Board's office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  Alhaji Ajibola said prospective pilgrims are required to make an initial deposit of eight million naira, pending the official Hajj fare to be announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria. He urged interested applicants to complete their payments early to secure a place for the pilgrimage, noting that the registration exercise is expected to close on or before September 2026. Alhaji Ajibola advised intending pilgrims to visit the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at the New Secretariat, Block B, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, or contact the Board through its official telephone lines for further enquiries.
