As students across Nigeria resume for the 2026/2027 academic session, the Founder of the Oladele Olaleye Foundation and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the House of Representatives, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency, Arc. Oladele Olaleye, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that every child and young person in the constituency has access to quality and affordable education.

Arc. Olaleye said in Abeokuta that education remained one of the most powerful tools for transforming communities, reducing poverty and creating opportunities for young people to build sustainable futures.

He noted that no child should be denied the opportunity to learn because of financial hardship or circumstances beyond their control.

According to him, the resumption of the 2026/2027 academic session is another reminder of the urgent need for stakeholders, governments and community leaders to place the welfare and educational development of students at the centre of their priorities.

“Education is not a privilege reserved for a few; it is a fundamental pathway to opportunity and human development. Our children deserve the chance to sit in a classroom, learn in a conducive environment and dream without limitations.”

The PDP candidate further expressed his determination to use the opportunity of representing the people of Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency in the National Assembly to advocate for policies and initiatives that will improve access to education and enhance the welfare of students.

If elected in the 2027 general elections, Arc. Olaleye pledged to make education and youth development key components of his legislative agenda. His priorities will include advocating for improved educational infrastructure, supporting vulnerable students, promoting skills acquisition and strengthening opportunities that can help young people become productive and self-reliant.

He also emphasized the importance of partnerships among government institutions, private organisations, community leaders, parents, educators and philanthropic organisations in addressing the educational needs of the constituency.

Through the Oladele Olaleye Foundation, he reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that complement government efforts and provide practical assistance to students and families who need it most.

“My aspiration is to see a constituency where no child is forced to abandon his or her education because of economic circumstances. I believe strongly that investing in our students today is investing in the future of Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi Owode.”

Arc. Olaleye congratulated students, parents, teachers and school administrators across the constituency on the commencement of the new academic session and wished students a successful and rewarding school year.

He called on parents and guardians to continue encouraging their children to take their education seriously, while urging students to remain focused, disciplined and committed to excellence.

The Founder of the Oladele Olaleye Foundation restated his commitment to education extends beyond political considerations, describing it as a long-term investment in the future of the people and communities he seeks to serve.
