Ogun State is set to strengthen its position as a major industrial hub, as Governor Dapo Abiodun is scheduled to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for Lee Group’s proposed 450-hectare industrial park on Thursday, November 12, 2026.

The project, located around Makun Village along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near the Sagamu Interchange, is expected to accommodate twenty-nine factories and several supporting commercial and recreational facilities.

The industrial park will host manufacturing plants producing footwear and leather goods, plastics, packaging materials, personal care products and household items, among other goods.

The development will also include conference halls, hospitality facilities and recreational amenities to support business activities within the complex.

The project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment, stimulate commercial activities and create opportunities for local suppliers, contractors, logistics operators and small and medium-scale enterprises.

Its strategic location near the Sagamu Interchange is also expected to improve access to major consumer markets in Ogun and Lagos states, while facilitating the distribution of manufactured goods to other parts of Nigeria and the West African sub-region.

The industrial park aligns with the Abiodun administration’s economic development agenda, which focuses on industrialisation, investment promotion, infrastructure development and job creation.

The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to mark the formal commencement of the project, further expanding Ogun State’s industrial capacity and strengthening its ambition to become a leading manufacturing and distribution centre in Nigeria.
